A proud tradition
The story of Lee Street High & the Class of 1965.
Lee Street High School served the African American community of Pierce County with distinction until its closing in 1969 following school integration.
The Class of 1965 was among the last graduating classes of Lee Street High School — and remains one of its most active and dedicated alumni groups.
Since graduation, class members have maintained close ties through reunions, quarterly gatherings, community service projects, scholarship programs, and steadfast support for one another.
Reunion participation
Present at every reunion since 1985.
Since 1985, the Class of 1965 has participated in every Lee Street High School reunion held at ten-year intervals — among the strongest supporters of preserving the school's history and heritage.
